Nigeria’s top scorer at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Oghenekaro Etebo, has expressed his sadness over his unavailability for Wednesday’s semi-final clash against Germany.

Etebo also missed the 2-0 win over Denmark, because of an injury he picked up against Colombia in the last group fixture. But he hopes to be fit for the gold medal match if the Dream Team VI makes it.

“It hurts the player to sit out without participating against a team like Germany. But the doctor has told him he won’t be fit for the Wednesday match. The player has told some of his colleagues it pains him to miss both the quarter-final and now the semi-final too”.
Etebo Oghenekaro is also a professional footballer, who plays as a Striker for Portuguese side CD Feirense.
