Nigeria defeated Denmark 2-0

Nigeria to play Germany in the semi-final

Nigeria’s U-23 team, on Saturday defeated Denmark 2-0, to qualify for the semi-final of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.

Team captain Mikel John Obi, scored early at almost 16 minutes in the first half, following pass from Imoh Ezekiel. Then at nearly 58 minutes in the second half, Aminu Umar scores from the resulting corner with a perfect header into the goal.

Though Denmark made several attempts to get back into the game, most of the game was dominated by the Nigerian dream team.
