My first introduction to Jidenna’s “Bambi” track was at the 2016 BayView Live concert.
His latest single track “Bambi”, with its 50’s retro-swing beat and lyrics about love lost, the slow-burner sounds like the stuff your grandparents probably listened to back in the day. It’s an unconventional sound that sees the singer flexing his vocal range atop a tight rhythm production. The intro simply takes you back in time, with a modern twist.

Clearly, Jidenna is comfortable and at home doing various musical genre and the song will appear on his long-awaited forthcoming debut album “The Chief” slated for February 17 release date, but you can preorder it now on iTunes.
He’s released a slew of singles in the build up to the album release, including the summer smash “Lit Bit More” and “Chief Don’t Run.”
