Sensational recording artist Jidenna aka “Classic Man” is set to headline the Bayview LIVE Festival in San Francisco on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Jidenna, who appeared Jidenna went on The Daily Show With Trevor Noah last Thursday, October 13, 2016 to perform the title track and lead single off Long Live the Chief. He also appeared at the 2016 MTV VMAs, 2016 BET awards and also completed a visit to Nigeria in August. Jidenna was also on Netflix’s hit series Luke Cage. The Epic Records artist popped up in the show’s fifth episode, performing “Long Live the Chief” in a fictional Harlem nightclub.
He will be joined by other entertainers at this outdoor music, technology and arts event in the Bayview district of San Francisco.
Jidenna is best known for his popular song ‘Classic man’ featuring Roman GianArthur which was nominated at the 58th Grammy Awards held on February 2016 for Best rap/sung collaboration, a single contained in his collective EP “The Eephus” with Janelle Monae for Wondaland Records.
Jidenna Theodore Mobisson (born May 4, 1985), known professionally as Jidenna, is a Nigerian-American recording artist signed to Wondaland Records. In 2015, Jidenna released two singles, “Classic Man” and “Yoga”, promoting the label’s compilation EP The Eephus. His debut album, Long Live the Chief is set to be released later this year.
The Bayview LIVE Music & Arts Festival, organized by Imprint.City in collaboration with the Bayview Alliance and KQED, is an annual event located on Egbert Avenue between Third and Jennings Streets in Bayview-Hunters Point. It is designed to highlight the beauty of the performing and visual arts, reflecting the cultural landscape of the neighborhood while also shining a light on local businesses.
