Presumption of innocence applies to both the law enforcement and African/ Americans populations in America. You cannot be seeking fairness and presumption of innocence for police officers, who are summarily executing innocent blacks, who were summarily executed, absent of due process and “presumption of innocence”.
Law enforcement’s mandate is to “protect and serve” the public equally, not summarily execute African/ Americans in every most encounters, knowing full well that they will be exonerated, after the conclusion so-called placebo investigation.
Today in America, the threshold that warrants killing of and African/ American in a police encountered and what that officer may consider a threat has been considerably lowered. As a result many innocent victims were shot while lying down and already restrained in handcuff, sitting unspectingly in their home or car and in most cases running away from their police assailant.
If an African/ American’s car has a broken tail light or failed by the roadside, he or she might unfortunately encounter a police officer who might then issue and execute an immediate roadside death sentence, and later claim the victim was threatning or uncooperative.
Sadly for a segment of our population, extrajudicial killings by police and unfair judicial process for African/ American population is perfectly acceptable and we should all salute the flag and gleefully sing the national anthem in celebration of what is an inequality?
Extrajudicial killings by police in America, led to the loss of 314 black lives in 2015 and in 2016, 214 lives have been taken, with no due process. How many executioner cops are held accountable?
