This Sunday, August 6 at 2 p.m. Stern Grove festival in its 80th season presents a lineup featuring African music by two internationally acclaimed artists, namely AMADOU & MARIAM from Mali and Ibibio Sound Machine led by London-born Nigerian singer Eno Williams.

Stern Grove Festival, a free outdoor concert series is one of the best-kept secrets in San Francisco that attracts big crowds of music-loving locals to the Sunset side of the city.

Amadou & Mariam are a GRAMMY-nominated duo from Mali whose unique “Afro-blues” sound has landed them at Coachella and Glastonbury, and opening for bands such as Coldplay and the Scissor Sisters.

IBIBIO SOUND MACHINE

Fronted by London-born Nigerian singer Eno Williams, Ibibio Sound Machine is a clash of African and electronic elements inspired by the golden era of West African funk, disco, modern post-punk, and electro.
