A 25-year-old woman was on Friday charged with the murder of her husband and two children.
Joyce Wangare is accused of killing Jackson Njogu by hitting him with a blunt object, after which she set their home in Molo on fire.
Two children, including her sister’s daughter aged two, died in the fire.
The incident took place at 10.30pm on August 28 in Kiambereri area.
It is alleged the couple had had recurring domestic fueds that might have lead to the deaths.
The prosecution requested for Wangare to be remanded at Molo police station as police complete investigations.
Justice Maureen Odero ordered that Wangare undergo psychiatric evaluation at the Nakuru Provincial hospital.
Wangare will plead to charges when the case is mentioned on September 16, 2016.
