China has loaned Uganda hundreds of millions of dollars in recent years to build new roads. However, some Ugandans question the benefit of these projects. Most of the construction is performed by Chinese companies, and it is the Ugandan taxpayer who ultimately bears the burden of paying off the loans. Halima Athumani has more on the story from Kampala.
